Yummy! I love this place. The products are so fun and unique. The gals that work there are so friendly and helpful and they want to go through the hand exfoliation process everytime and then run around playing with all the products. I just stocked up on my favorite items and spoiled myself. I am totally clean and exfoliated and moisturized now and I feel and smell great from head to toe (I did all this with a cocktail, that might be influencing my opinion a little... but only a TEENY bit). Great product and GREAT service!
LushI'm not the type of girl that likes soapie gigglie cutesie bath and body products, but Lush really brings something different to the table. When you walk in, you are confronted with a blast of air composed of every combination of product they produce which to me, was pleasant, but to others, can be a bit overwhelming. The store employees are chirpy and helpful and will chase you down with a wicci bead skin balm till the cows come home which implies comission to me. However, they aren't pushy, just friendly and readily available which can be helpful when looking for the right thing. They are also all about the samples and demos. I took home a few products I was 'iffy' about to give a test spin, was pleasantly surprised, and went back the next week to pick them up. My favorites of the moment include the "Love Lettuce" face mask which is kind of the go-to all purpose masks which seems happy with most skin types(in addition it was recommended to me on multiple occassions by the employees). If you are planning on continuing your shop after purchasing a mask, make sure to pick up an icepack for it from the front as these babies need to be kept chilly. What I also liked about the store clerks is that they were very quick to tell me 'nuhuh chica' for some things I was considering, and readily offered up some advice on products that were outside the Lush realm that I may like. Also of notice are the face creams on the side wall which are designed for all different types. The storeclerk recommended the "Enzymion" cream I believe, which she wears under her makeup. It doesn't clog her pores, she gave me a sample and you are still left looking fairly news anchor worthy even after a long day running around the office. When one girl made a "HERE YE HERE YE" announcement re: bath ball demonstration I had to jet, wayy too much estrogen for me. Baby steps.
First of all, it smells good. Duh. But I remember going into Bath and Bodyworks or something when I was in high school for my girlfriend (champ that I was) and being nauseated, blasted, sickened and beaten up the nose by the thick, assaulting chemical smell. Lush smells just as much, but you don't swoon or have flashbacks to your time in New Jersey. The sales associates immediately said hi, and then left me alone when I said I was just checking it out. When I asked for help later, one of them walked around and showed me every single product I wanted to see, one on one. She demonstrated them and let me smell, smear, stir, whatever. She explained every product, made suggestions, and was understanding to my concerns about cost. She was patient even when I fanned a few of her recommendations due to having sensitive skin on my face.Honestly, smelling like fruits, berries and nonsense doesn't interest me greatly. Using the highest quality bath products does, because it makes a difference you can actually feel. Well worth the money for their products, and a positively enjoyable sales experience.
I wandered into here one day a long time ago and immediately fell in love. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and had me testing out products in no time. I can easily spend over $50 every time I walk in here (which can be dangerous). Everything is all natural and most things are sold without packaging. I really like the face masks, too. They're only available in stores, because they need to be kept fresh. My favorite thus far is BB Seaweed.Don't come in if you're very sensitive to smells. My bf was wrinkling his nose from the assault of scents in here from all the soap blocks.
